Case Study: Invisible Braces for a Wedding
Lisa had left things very late when deciding early February that she wanted her teeth straightened with invisible braces for her May wedding but we pulled out all the stops and agreed an affordable compromise.
Ceramic or clear brackets were used on the upper and lower teeth to straighten them with Six Month Smiles.
The upper incisors were severely crowded and the treatment time was estimated at 7 months. Due to Lisa’s wedding plans we proposed a temporary removal and retainer with braces going back in after the honeymoon. This service was priced at an additional £200 inclusive of the extra retainer.
Happily the lower teeth were not as badly crowded and we manage to straighten them in three months!
Most of the corrective realignment in Six Month Smiles cases generally occurs in the first few months and thankfully in Lisa’s case the results were very good: complete lower realignment and almost complete upper correction.
Lisa was absolutely delighted with the prospect of smiling for her Wedding Photos and we look forward to having her back for stage two, not to mention her news of the wedding!
Update: Lisa returned to the practice a few weeks after her Honeymoon in Barbados. We were delighted to hear that everything went well with her wedding and vacation.
Having agreed to have her clear braces refitted upon her return to the surgery, Lisa was keen to have the final realignment of just a few upper incisors.
We had managed a significant improvement in the upper front teeth within the three months prior to Lisa’s wedding, with complete lower alignment.
